Embodying Identity

Embodying an identity is not about declaring who you want to be. It’s about living it when no one is watching. It shows up in the quiet choices: how you speak to strangers. How you carry yourself in uncertainty, how you respond when things don’t go your way. When you embody a version of you that you choose to become, you close the gap between intention and reality. Until eventually there is no difference between the person you aspire to be and the person you are.

Embodying an identity isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about tuning into a version of yourself that already exists. It’s the recognition that the qualities you seek, confidence, clarity and purpose are not missing, just waiting to be expressed. When you slow down and listen, you begin to act from that place, not force it. You make choices that feel aligned rather than performative. Over time this isn’t something you switch on and off, it becomes your natural state as you stop chasing who you think you should be. And start living from who you already are.

The Speed Icebreaker

In the middle of a relentless shift with hands moving fast, and the rhythm of a busy sandwich chain that is never slowing down. There are moments where exhaustion creeps in and everything feels mechanical. But that’s exactly when I choose to interrupt the pattern and step outside. Instead of staying in autopilot, I choose to be deliberate. I look up, meet someone’s eyes, and ask a simple question about their day. I also intentionally show curiosity for a brief moment. The rush fades into the background and a real human connection takes its place.

People generally soften, they smile, they open up, even just a little. And in those exchanges, something shifts in me too. The fatigue doesn’t disappear, but it’s replaced by a sense of aliveness, of purpose. That’s when I realise I’m not just making sandwiches I’m embodying my identity as a coach, showing up with presence, curiosity, and genuine care, no matter the environment.

Quality Time with Family

Spending quality time in France with my family felt different this time, more present and more intentional. Instead of slipping into old patterns, I found myself naturally bringing my coaching into those moments of family intimacy and restricted circle. Outside of my daily routine I was genuinely curious, asking deeper questions, really listening, and showing up with care as a son, cousin, and nephew.

And then, doing my first coaching demo in French was a turning point. The feedback I received stayed with me: that coaching is my thing, that it reflects who I truly am. It didn’t feel like I was trying to be a coach it felt like I was simply expressing myself. That realisation grounded something deeper in me, confirming that this path isn’t something I’m forcing, but something I’m living.

We shared a lot of laughter around the table, enjoyed long barbecues together and created memories. Listening, joking, sharing stories, and appreciating the connection we have. The most meaningful moments in life are the simplest ones. Sitting outside enjoying the sun and talking endlessly. Also in the evenings at looking at the Moon, Jupiter and Venus through the telescope.

The Chemistry of Becoming

I found myself deeply drawn to the teachings of Joe Dispenza, especially the concepts of neuroplasticity and the chemistry behind human behavior and transformation. Watching his videos opened my eyes to the idea that the brain is not fixed that through repetition, intention, emotion, and awareness, we can literally rewire our neural pathways and create a new internal reality.

What resonated with me most was the idea of embodying the best version of ourselves before external circumstances even change. Instead of waiting for confidence, success, love, or purpose to arrive, we begin acting, thinking, and feeling as the future version of ourselves now. The body often becomes conditioned to familiar emotions and patterns, almost addicted to old chemistry such as stress, doubt, or limitation. But through conscious practice, meditation, and intentional action, we can break those automatic cycles and create new emotional states aligned with growth, possibility, and authenticity.

This journey has taught me that transformation is not just motivational it is biological, neurological, and deeply embodied. Every thought, emotion, and repeated behavior strengthens certain neural connections. By intentionally choosing elevated emotions, aligned habits, and a greater vision for ourselves, we begin teaching both the mind and body a new way of being. Over time, the gap between who we are today and who we aspire to become starts to close. We stop merely chasing change and begin living from the identity of the person we are becoming.

Becoming Through Intention

Embodying identity is about becoming intentional in the way we think, act, and show up every single day aligned with purpose, values, and the person we aspire to become. I’ve realised that transformation is not only about mindset, it’s about embodiment. Acting from the version of ourselves we are creating, among the other versions of me that already exist. I do this intentionally through coaching, through the connections I create with people, and through the presence I bring into my daily life.

I’ve become more curious with my family, more present in conversations, and more intentional in the way I listen. People don’t just want to be heard they want to feel seen, valued, and understood. Showing genuine care and concern for others has completely changed the quality of my relationships and the way I move through life. I’m no longer “trying” to become a full-time coach. I embody it already through the energy, intention, and impact I bring into every interaction.
